Introduction
3 March 2012, Revised

The1972 Ellinwood Centennial Celebration included merchants dressing in period attire. I decided to take pictures of as many of them as possible at their places of business on Main Street and on Santa Fe Drive using my Kodak Instamatic camera. After the resulting sixty-seven 3.5" X 3.5" prints were developed, I returned with them and a request for autographs on the back.

There has been a lot of interest when people see the collection, especially after 40 years of change. Posting them on line has been a personal goal but the real commitment came recently after sharing that target with others. Here is one page of six photos in protective plastic as an indication that the project is indeed underway. Posting both sides of each individual picture and adding text information about the pictured individuals will be extensions to this start.

19 July 2012 UPDATE

Ellinwood's 2012 After Harvest Festival theme, "Celebrate Ellinwood! 140 Years -- 1872 - 2012",
has been a personal reminder that it's time to apply acquired technology and finish this project.
Scannng and posting 65+ pictures is nearly complete. While that continues, here (below)
are the other ten pages as they have been stored for forty years.
How many people do your recognize?

(Following the Pages format, individual pictures appear next
to back-side signatures. For now, page order is maintained.)
